ColdFusion job in Bruxelles

IT department of European Commission in Bruxelles (Belgium) is looking for an Analyst Programmer (ColdFusion specialist) for creating and maintaining IT systems to manage human resources at the European Commission.

The Analyst Programmer should have a specific expertise in ColdFusion MX - at least 2 years of experience - and extensive knowledge in CSS, HTML, XML, PHP, Ajax, SQL, Javascript, Oracle, PL/SQL, RUP and basic knowledge in Java and J2EE.

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

  • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on a large project
  • Ability to participate in multilingual meetings, ease of communication in English and/or French
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to write documentation in English and/or French
  • As the applications managed and maintained contain personal and confidential data, a high degree of discretion and integrity is required from all our staff members.

Two new social button to share my blog's contents

I've just added two new buttons to share articles/entry of this blog. The Shared on LinkedIn button will allow you to share an article with your contacts/groups in Linked-In network. The ShareThis button (only available in the article's detail) will allow to share it to several social networks/blogs as Digg.it, Facebook, Delicious etc.

Easy Sava CMS installation on shared hosting with Hostek

After reading this post I decided to setup a shared hosting with HOSTEK.COM to try to install Sava CMS.

Following these two simple posts on Sava and Hostek websites:

I could successfully install and run the complete Sava 5.0 CMS on a shared hosting environment. (Note: I had to change the MySQL database name choosing a different one from the default 'savaDB' because probably one already was present on the shared server).

I still could not 'strees' and used so much the application but I think this is a great news for all ColdFusion developers looking for a free ColdFusion 'Content Management System' hosted at cheap prices (but with great and CF skilled support) on ColdFusion 8.

I'm an Advanced ColdFusion 8 Certified Developer!

Today, I passed the Adobe ColdFusion 8 ACE Exam with the score of 95% that means I can say I'm an Advanced ColdFusion 8 Certified Developer.

The exam is part of the Adobe Certification program and a requirement to become or mantain the status of Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) as I'm since from year 2000.
